Gabriel Vivas

Born in El Paso, Texas, raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Gabriel Vivas started out his career at the age of 17 performing with local bands in clubs and festivals around Venezuela. In 1990, Gaby moved to Florida and attended the University of Miami where he recieved his B.A. in studio music and jazz performance.
Since then, he's toured, recorded and/or performed with varios artists like:

Gabriel Vivas is a busy working studio and live musician who has dedicated his life playing the low end. Not only he plays all string bass instruments like the 5, 6 strings, fretless bass and acoustic upright basses, but who is a very studied, experienced and skilled player in many styles of music (in the studio and on stage) that goes from pop to rock, funk, latin, jazz, brazilian, reggae/caribean music, and other ethnic styles and folk music from other countries.
Gaby Vivas is also a producer and song writer in the South Florida area, other cities in the US and Venezuela.
This highly skilled and creative artistic bass player has finished his first solo project on the summer of 2006.
